• 9:15-9:45 – Chapter Business
Review minutes of last meeting. Update on new offices in Colorado—when they are opening and where the offices are located. Discuss attendance at National Conference in September. President to review Chapter Business and explain some of the complications with obtaining CEs with Zoom and hybrid meetings. Complete rounds and updates if they were not finished. Review plan for next meeting(s). Plan A if it can be held in person, Plan B for a Zoom meeting, if necessary. Review plan for all meetings in 2021. Review agenda for this meeting.

COVID update (changes we have made due to vaccinations, cleaning, precautions that should be continued). 

• 10:00-1:00 pm – Program: Low Vision
Education regarding low vision concerns and how they can directly affect driving safety, common diagnoses we might see in driving, Bioptics (who they are appropriate for and how they help).
Learning Objectives: 
1. low vision and how it affects driving
2. common diagnoses resulting in low vision
3. How can those requiring bioptics return to driving 

Dr. Thomas Politzer, O.D., FCOVD, FAAO

Dr. Thomas Politzer, O.D., FCOVD, FAAO is a leading optometric expert in diagnosing and treating vision problems in neurologic disease. He has been dedicated to helping people who have suffered a neurological disease or injury for more than 35 years. Some of the vision and associated problems he frequently treats include: double vision, loss of vision, loss of peripheral vision, headache, dizziness and imbalance, and nystagmus. Dr. Politzer invented the spot patch and cyclo-prism which have significantly increased the number of patients who can be helped when suffering double vision. He is currently developing a new approach to augment visual field loss, utilizing novel digital technology. Throughout the course of his career Dr. Politzer has had numerous hospital affiliations consulting on rehabilitation teams, lead dozens of presentations on visual deficits in Colorado, nationally and internationally, held several committee offices, and authored or co-authored many publications. In addition to the above accomplishments, Dr. Politzer has held a private Optometric Practice since 1981.
