These sessions provide an opportunity for a dealer and a CDRS to share a solution to a complex and challenging driver rehab and mobility situation.
Each Vehicle Modification Session is a stand-alone 30-minute event. To earn the contact hours, the participant must attend live for the entire 30 minutes.

Description of presentation
The importance of collaboration in a complex case involving short statured individual with medium and low tech needs.
Learning Objectives
- Review the options for individuals that are less than 3 feet 6" tall.
- Review the evaluation and driver training results in the Strowmatt Rehab Vehicle.
- Review the history of vehicle modification choices that resulted in the final conversion.
- Describe the problems and solutions that were addressed collaboratively with static and in-motion fitting sessions.
- Discuss what was learned and review the importance of working collaboratively with all appropriate parties including vocational rehabilitation and family members.
*Current CDRS' & DRPs please refer to policy 403 for educational activity and contact hour information. Attendance for the entire session is required to earn ADED Contact Hours.

Chad Strowmatt, LOT, CDRS
Strowmatt Rehab Services - Houston
Chad Strowmatt earned his bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy in 1987. He worked at TIRR until he founded a private practice in 1993 with his business partner Chris Davis, PT. He has been practicing in the field of driver rehabilitation for over 38 years in clinical, behind-the-wheel, and high technology evaluations. Chad has served in various positions within the Association for Driver Rehabilitation Services (ADED) such as president in 2004. Chad earned his post-professional OTD from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in April of 2020. Chad has 4 wonderful children and loves to ride motorcycles and camp in his family’s RV in his spare time. Chad has participated and adapted to the evolution of high-tech driving systems over the last 36 years and the impact the technology has on individual independence.
