DMV Representatives:

Jennifer Holloway, Records Support Administrative Assistant III & Danette Christiansen, *new* Record Unit Support Supervisor (observing)

BIO: Jennifer Holloway is the main contact person for the CDRS’s in Colorado within the Records Support division. She ensures that the rules are in place for REHAB ONLY, and that the client has access to rehab permits, DR2401/DR2402 forms, Rehab Providers, and that the information has been inputted into their records for the Licensing division.

Abstract: This collaborative meeting is meant as a follow up with the DMV about changes that have been made with their DR2401/DR2402 forms, processes, and the REHAB process in general over the last year. Discussion will include front range vs. western slope services and access, use of the new forms, changes in DMV processes, contact information for CDRS’s to DMV and vice versa. Any new DMV rules and changes within the Driver Handbook will also be reviewed, as a way to keep communication open and up to date. There will be opportunities to ask questions and get assistance with customer support needs via these processes between client, CDRS and DMV.

Learning Objectives:

1. Attendees will interface with the new DMV staff working in the realm of REHAB ONLY, and get contact information for the CDRS' s/programs when questions or problems arise. They will know who to contact, and how (phone, email, fax), in order to help clients or get help with problems. Confirm that the processes that programs are using for contact when sending in LOC and DR2401/Dr2402 forms are correct.

2. Attendees will learn the new laws and statutes that impact the REHAB ONLY process, and any new on-road/instructional changes. Attendees will be able to implement these in their practices, by better understanding them. *Are these in the newest printing of the Driver Handbook? Are ANY printed handbooks available, for those who cannot access it online?

3. Attendees will understand the chain of command for ALL CO DMV offices in relation to REHAB ONLY, permits/license, minors vs. adult, out of state vs. resident, revoked status vs. expired, etc. All attendees' questions will be fielded by the DMV representatives and answered on the spot, or followed up with after the meeting (when clarification is needed). Attendees will be able to reference this meeting, the staff, and the knowledge shared when questions or problems arise. This is also a follow up from the last meeting, where some items may have been left ambiguous or unanswered…Western Slope–have things been better? How can we come together to have the same types or services offered in the Front Range?

4. All attendees will know who to contact for what type of question/problem (which department, which level of staff, which specific individual, etc).

Registration confirmation and payment receipts are e-mailed to the attendee. Cancellations must be made in writing to the ADED Executive Office by April 20, 2024, a 20% handling fee will be charged.
