What is the Driver Rehabilitation Professional (DRP) Microcredential?

The Driver Rehabilitation Professional (DRP) microcredential represents a professional in the field of driver rehabilitation who, through successful completion of specific training courses, is equipped to provide service within basic and low-tech programs as per the Spectrum of Driver Rehabilitation Program Services. A DRP is obligated to follow ADED’s Best Practice Guidelines for the Delivery of Driver Rehabilitation Services to keep driver evaluations formalized and objective and attests they will adhere to the ADED’s Code of Ethics. The DRP microcredential requires a defined amount of continuing education to ensure continued growth and current knowledge in the field.

Healthcare Professional:  ADED Traffic Safety Course OR ADED's Traffic Safety Quiz
Non-Healthcare Professional: Have the Specialized Instructor badge prior to application



One of the following [proof required]*:  
a. 35 hours of education from menu
b. Successful completion of a post-graduate ADED-approved university based driver rehabilitation program
c. ADED Mentor Curriculum Completion + 21 hours of education from menu
d. Completion of the VA Driver Rehabilitation Training Program
e. Successful completion of Adaptive Mobility Services Part 1 & Part 2 Courses (also fulfills #2 HC Traffic Safety Requirement)

Complete a quiz with 75% or higher in: Code of Ethics AND Best Practices Guidelines



Renewal every 2 years consists of: submission of a renewal application, proof of 15 ADED approved continuing education hours & and payment of a $75 renewal fee
